At an annual fundraising event for the Bridge School, Give And Take Education auctioned off free tuition for one student to their month-long immersion program in France. The Bridge School is a 6-12 school in Boulder, CO and is one of the most academically rigorous schools in the area. GATE's co-founder, Mikal Sherman, confidently reported: "It was the right thing to do. This school deserves recognition for their talents and it would be a pleasure to have some Bridge students in our program."

The academically focused immersion program to France has created considerable interest in the Boulder area. While applications are still coming in, the Program Director, Ethan Chutkow, urged students from all schools to consider this opportunity: "This program is designed for students to take thier language to a new level. While daily conversational French classes will be important, staying with a host family and taking Cultural Study classes will really make the difference. Not only will students study the art and architecture of the area, they will also be visiting it. It is a truly exceptional opportunity for talented students."

Positions are still available for this summer's program. Application and further details are available at the GATE website. The co-founder of the Bridge School, Kathy Sherman, introduced the GATE to France program at the fundraiser stating this trip to be "a once-in-a-lifetime occasion" for students to immerse themselves for a whole month in French language and culture.
